Nick was quite well prepared to take this trip, and we all traveled together in his final days, as friends and family. Nick rested well. To be sure you understand his mood- I'll share with you with one of the more poignant moments-

Dad Was truly, truly a man of great strength. the Doctors were in awe of his sheer physicality at age 82. When one of the specialists told him "Nick, I just don't think you need to buy the farm just yet..." Dad loudly proclaimed: "ITS ALREADY PAID FOR!" And steadfastly refused further treatment, asking only for his daily newspaper.

Just wanted to let you know- he was good hands, and in good sprirt!

As he began to sleep ever more soundly, Grandson Shawn let him know "The cows have been fed, the fences are mended... and your tools are put away". This pleased him.

Nick Trivich' final voyage is well underway and his ship is sound.

I find that as his absence creeps in, I am at no loss for his sound advice. All one needs is to ask "What would Nick do?" and the path is always clear.

memories of Uncle Nick, he was so special to us. Bob and I are so sorry
we couldn't spend as much time with him, because we enjoyed his company.
